  • A year ago this month, the COVID pandemic shut down most of the restaurant industry. Restaurant owners and operators, I believe, woke up one night in late March and asked “why me?” A quick end to the pandemic and a limited government response was predicted, a few of the guesses we got wrong. But we got a number of them right, which you can read about in this month’s Monitor. A year later, one thing is certain: The restaurant finance business has recovered.
